Acupuncture for women, through every season.

Licensed acupuncture in Salt Lake City, focused on women’s health and support during and after cancer treatment.

Cancer care doesn’t end when treatment does. Many women live with hot flashes, joint pain, neuropathy, fatigue, or poor sleep for years afterward, especially on long-term hormone therapy. I work with women at every stage: in the middle of treatment, in the years of recovery, and through the ordinary changes of a woman’s life, like menopause. I treat the whole person, not just the symptom, and work alongside your medical team to help you feel more like yourself again.

About

Rachel Buchanan, L.Ac.

I’m a licensed acupuncturist, and women’s health has been the heart of my work from the start.

I graduated from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in 2012 and opened Beaches Acupuncture and Wellness Center in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. There I cared for many women through cancer treatment and recovery, and many more through their fertility journeys.

Five Element acupuncture treats the whole person, not just the symptom. I believe the body has its own wisdom and a real capacity to heal, and my job is to support it. Alongside acupuncture, I use Acutonics (tuning forks on acupuncture points) and BodyTalk, and as a certified meditation teacher I often weave simple breath and relaxation practices into sessions. I’m also completing my certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine.

After selling my practice, I spent several years traveling with my family and living in Mexico. Now we’ve settled in Sandy, where I’m raising my three girls and am glad to be back in the treatment room.

My care works alongside your medical treatment, never in place of it.
